Unattended Child Policy

Policy Statement:

The Board of Trustees and the Staff of the Coshocton Public Library welcome children to use the facilities and services of the Public Library. To ensure the safety of children at the Library the Coshocton Public Library Board of Trustees adopts the following policy:

Policy:

A child under the age of six years old must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver at all times. If a child under the age of six is found unattended, and the parent/caregiver cannot be located within fifteen minutes, the proper authorities will be notified.

When a child age six through seventeen is left unattended at the time the Library closes, and the parent/caregiver cannot be located, the proper authorities will be notified after an interval of fifteen minutes.
