5:30 - 6:30 p.m. 

 West Lafayette Village Mayor Jack Patterson will share details about the tragic Troop Train wreck that occurred 65 years ago on September 11, 1950 near
West Lafayette, Ohio.

The train, leaving Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, began an overnight trip across Ohio headed to Indiana. Thirty-three National Guardsmen of the 109th Field Artillery Battalion lost
their lives in the wreck.

Hear the events leading up to, during, and after the accident. And, view historical photographs.  Registration is required. Call the Branch library at 740-545-6672 to sign up
