Coshocton County District Library - Large Meeting Room

As we gear up for our Summer Reading program, Adventure Begins at Your Library, we would like to welcome Mark Holbrook to present on the history of travel in America.

Not so long ago few people traveled far from home. Vacations and travel for leisure were either unaffordable or impractical. The industrial age, new technologies and shifting perspectives on work and leisure changed all of that in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Mark's presentation will explore those changes and the impact a traveling population had on our economy and culture.

This partnership program is provided with support from the Coshocton Friends of the Library and the Ohio Humanities Council.

Registration is required: The History of Travel in America | Main Location (whofi.com)
